During AMD's CES 2014 conference, the company discussed a bit about their upcoming Mantle API and how it will impact Battlefield 4 performance. They said that they've seen "up to" 45% increases in framerate in some cases in Battlefield 4.

Comparison video footage was not shown off, though they seem to have shown off a few brief segments of the game running with Mantle. Unfortunately, their presentation showing off how great Mantle is did include a few complete lockups for a few seconds.

Mantle support in Battlefield 4 is slated to be released later this month. It will eventually be included with over 20 games, mainly those from EA using the Frostbite game engine. Mantle is only going to be available to those running some of the latest videocards from AMD/ATI.
