"First, we want to thank the fans out there that are playing and supporting us with Battlefield 4. We know we still have a ways to go with fixing the game--it is absolutely our No. 1 priority. The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game. Since Battlefield 4 China Rising expansion pack was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, we decided to fulfill our promise to deliver it this week, but we're not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4. We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel their pain. We will not stop until this is right."
There are still four planned expansions coming to the PC, including Second Assault, Naval Strike, Dragon's Teeth, and Final Stand. These expansions have no release date with the exception of Second Assault which has already been released on the Xbox One. The others were slated for release in 2014.
One just wonders why oh why they did not release that statement when they discovered how serious the problem with the crashing and the netcode was.
Didn´t they realize the size of the problem before release of CR?
It was a problem since release.
Why don´t they just come clean and list all the issues on a public To-do list. Then the public can see that the problem has been adressed.
It´s the typical american business approach; Failure is not an option. And if we do then keep it a secret as long as we can. It´s pathetic, that´s what it is.
This is just the latest statement with an extreme outcome.
Maybe not extreme, but I cant really think of a better word.
The thing is that every Battlefield game has had issues and in about a month to two months things get worked out and stabilized. NOW they can use this as "See, we are committed to working out these issues. Sorry again!" and they would be on the same track as any other release.
