Indie development studio Polyarc announced that Moss: The Forgotten Relic is coming to PC and consoles this summer. A teaser trailer shows off some of the fantasy adventure that is, apparently for the first time, making the move from VR to flatscreen with this new release.
The release this summer will be on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and both generations of the Switch. It sounds like the "dual" style gameplay will carry over from the VR releases of Moss. In the VR games, you controlled Quill, "a young mouse with dreams of greatness beyond the confines of her home."
You also played the role of Quill's guardian, better known as the Reader. In that role, you were able to directly interact with the world itself. It will be interesting to see how that interaction moves from motion controls to controllers or mouse and keyboard.
The VR games were fantastic and Moss: The Forgotten Relic seems to combine the story of the two VR releases into this singular release. More details will be shared on IGN Live from June 6-8.
