It's a PC.

Xbox announced the next-generation Xbox on February 5, 2026. Well, they kind of announced the new Xbox. They just released a brief teaser for the new Xbox that is currently codenamed Project Helix.

A teaser video was shared on Twitter, so I won't be linking to that. God forbid they put that announcement literally anywhere else. You aren't missing much though. Elsewhere on Twitter, Microsoft Gaming's new CEO Asha Sharma shared a tiny bit of actual information.

This seems to confirm the long-running rumor that the next Xbox was basically just going to be a PC that could play both Xbox and PC games. The rumor also suggests that the next Xbox will just be running a version of Windows, presumably Windows 11. This is also why it's been strongly suggested that the next Xbox will also be able to have PC gaming storefronts installed on it such as Steam and the Epic Games Store, and is perhaps one of the reasons why PlayStation no longer cares to release their games on PC.
