The newest dungeon for Destiny 2, Sundered Doctrine, officially launched a bit earlier today. This dungeon will have Savathun guiding Guardians through a Dread-filled Pyramid ship. For the time being, Contest Mode is enabled for all players attempting the new dungeon.
Contest Mode is forced on at least until a fireteam completes the dungeon in said mode. Once Bungie verifies that Sundered Doctrine has been completed, Normal Mode will unlock with Contest Mode being an optional challenge to tackle. Those who complete Sundered Doctrine under Contest Mode rules within the first 48 hours will earn a special emblem and guaranteed Exotic weapon.
The race is still underway right now and can be watched via Twitch, YouTube, or even TikTok courtesy of The Zone Team's cbgray and evanf1997 and their DungeonZone streams. There are special drops available if you watch through Twitch for at least an hour.
Those that compete the dungeon by 9:59 AM PT on May 6, 2025 will unlock the opportunity to spend money at the Bungie Store for the Sundered Doctrine assortment. This includes a work shirt, dungeon bracelet, and pin. Those that complete the Delver Title by 9:59 AM PT on May 6, 2025 will earn the Bungie Rewards offer to purchase the Sundered Doctrine Title Pin.
This new dungeon was released in the same week that Destiny 2: Heresy was released to players. This is the newest Episode available and takes players back to the Dreadnaught, a familiar location to those who played Destiny: The Taken King expansion.
