Ninja Gaiden 4 was announced today from Team Ninja and PlatinumGames. This will be the first new entry in the Ninja Gaiden franchise in 13 years when it releases some time in fall 2025. As the game is being published by Xbox Game Studios, you will be able to pick it up on Xbox and PC upon release.
Ninja Gaiden 4 will place a spotlight on a new character, a young ninja named Yakumo. Series mainstay, Ryu Hayabusa, will be in Ninja Gaiden 4 but his exact role is not yet known. This sequel is set in a version of Tokyo that has been cursed by someone or something known as the Dark Dragon.
Platinum's Yudai Abe says that they are "preserving the dark, hardcore atmosphere of the series." Ninja Gaiden 4 will include "curses and chaotic landscapes" and a world that "evokes a heightened sense of danger at every turn."
To keep you occupied until this fall, a release of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black was surprise dropped today on Xbox, Game Pass, and PC. This release of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black is guilt on Unreal Engine 5. According to head of Team Ninja Fumihiko Yasuda, "This version is crafted to satisfy both those who played the original and newcomers discovering it as a current-generation action game." This release includes additions from Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 while "staying true to the challenge and feel of the original [Xbox] 360 version." This includes keeping the original's "signature gore and violence."

As usual, the game pass version is inferior.
