Hmm... Low quality isn't bad at all. Giving an option to control NPC population is an uncommon smart idea too. I just hope they don't do the whole, "if the character model is at a certain distance, then reduce their animation frames drastically" because that is irritatingly distracting given how much they actually end up standing out to me. I'd rather they smoothly fade out like you're seeing ghosts.
Anyway, I'll stick with my PS5 version and run it in performance. Not too upset about it.
