Nexon and Nexon Games shared a new look at The First Descendant, their upcoming free-to-play third-person looter shooter. Today's latest look includes details on pre-launch preparations for the game as well as the latest in their Dev Talk series with creative director Joo Minsok, producer Lee Beom-jun, and more talk about new game details and share never before seen footage.

First up, Nexon says that a pre-load for The First Descendant will begin on June 30 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. This should allow you to begin playing right about when the game releases on July 2nd. That is assuming you are on the consoles as the Steam decryption process still takes a very long time.

The new Dev Talk video goes into "how players can progress through the game and how they can utilize their own personal strategy to protect Ingris." There will be another Dev Talk video coming that talks about post-launch seasons, new characters, customization, economy, and more. That video should be live on July 2nd as well.
