CD Projekt Red says that a free trial for Cyberpunk 2077 will be made available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S this week. Running from March 28 at 8AM (PT) to March 31 at 11:59PM (PT), players on these platforms will be able to try out Cyberpunk 2077 for up to five hours of unrestricted gameplay.

Players taking part of this free trial weekend will have access to the base game plus all of the game's previous updates. This includes the Update 2.0 that made massive overhauls to many of the game's core systems, and it includes Update 2.1 that added in a fully functional metro system and other new content.

As with most other trials, those that decide to purchase Cyberpunk 2077 during or after this trial will have their progress carry over to the full version of the game. It has not been stated anywhere whether or not Cyberpunk 2077 will be sold at a discount during this weekend.

CD Projekt Red is also reminding new players about the official game booklet that they made available to everyone for free. This PDF includes some pretty good tips for new players.
