The lovely year of exclusivity for Dead Island 2 on the Epic Games Store is nearly up. Today, Deep Silver Dambuster Studios and Plaion announced that the zombie slaying sequel will be released on Steam on April 22, 2024. This comes a year and a day after Dead Island 2 was launched on PlayStation, Xbox, and the Epic Games Store as a timed exclusive.
As a means of both celebrating the upcoming release and to make up for the year-long wait, the studios behind the game are offering up Dead Island Riptide - Definitive Edition for free on Steam. You have until just February 15th to add this freebie to your account. If that isn't enough, other Dead Island titles are on sale for a limited time. That includes Dead Island Definitive Edition for just $2.99.
The Steam release will include six playable survivors, co-op support for up to three players, and presumably all of the previously released updates and content that have come out for the game prior to the Steam release.
