Remedy entertainment and Epic Games Publishing announce that Alan Wake 2 is now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and on PC exclusively through the Epic Games Store. This is, of course, the follow-up to the original Alan Wake, the "psychological thriller" from 2010.

Alan Wake 2 places you in the shoes of not only Alan Wake but also Saga Anderson, an FBI agent investigating a series of murders in the Pacific Northwest. As for Alan Wake himself, he's trying to rewrite his reality and escape the Dark Place, a "nightmare version of New York City."

In addition to the game's release, Remedy also released a new behind the scenes video for Alan Wake 2. You can find that below (unless age gated by YouTube). There was also a launch trailer recently released.

“We have come to the end of a long journey to return to the story of Alan Wake,” said Sam Lake, Creative Director at Remedy Entertainment. “We want to thank our fans and partners for their support. We are now ready to present our first ever survival horror game, a genre that lets us dive deeper and be more ambitious than ever before in crafting an experience of intense atmosphere and a twisted, layered, psychological story.”

Taking full advantage of the power of current consoles and PC, and driven by Remedy Entertainment’s proprietary Northlight engine, players will take on powerful supernatural enemies in desperate situations filled with intense suspense and unexpected twists. Anderson and Wake are two heroes on two desperate journeys in two separate realities, connected at heart in ways neither of them can understand.
There will be a review going up on TGN in the near future for Alan Wake 2. However, I received my key only yesterday, so I kind of still need to play it for more than the 2 hours I already spent in the game. It's pretty good so far though! I am definitely enjoying it more than the first game, which I bounced off twice.
