A hefty new content drop just came out for The Elder Scrolls Online MMORPG. PC players will get to experience the new Necrom chapter featuring over 30 hours of new content, two new zones to explore, new story, and even an entirely new class. Those of you on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 will be able to dive into this new content on June 20, 2023.
The new zones are the Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha. The Telvanni Peninsula features big mushroom forests and includes new side quests, world bosses, delves, public dungeons, and more. Apocrypha is the realm of Hermaeus Mora. This slice of Oblivion includes "endless libraries" that you best not get lost in. There is also the Chroma Incognito, a new area "unlike anything ever seen before."
The Arcanist is the new playable class and the first new class added to the game since 2019. The Arcanist uses forbidden powers from Apocrypha to deal damage, absorb damage, and even heal yourself and allies.
There is a new group challenge, Sanity's Edge. This is a 12-player trial. A new world event, Bastion Nymic, was also added. Necrom also adds in two new companions, Sharp-as-Night and Azandar Al-Cybiades. Each companion can be recruited, leveled up, and kitted out. Each also has their own stories, combat abilities, and questlines.
