Sony's Nixxes Software showed off the next PlayStation title coming to PC. That is title is none other than Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, a PlayStation 5 released on June 11, 2021. It's slated to come to PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on July 26 for a going price of $59.99 (USD).

Online community specialist Julian Huijbregts from Nixxes took to the PlayStation Blog to share some of the PC features of the game along with pre-purchase details.

Right out of the gate, we learn that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will feature ray-traced reflections with a variety of quality options to choose from. There are also going to be ray-traced shadows for natural light in outdoor areas.

Ultra-wide monitor support is in with support for 21:9, 32:9, and up to 48:9 aspect ratios for those rocking three monitors. Nixxes says that both gameplay and cutscenes have been optimized for ultra-wide screens.

The framerate can be unlocked if you so desire. There are also several different upscaling technologies including: Nvidia DLSS 3, AMD FSR 2, Intel XeSS, and Insomniac Games' Temporal Injection. There is also support for Nvidia Reflex and Nvidia DLAA.

There will be full mouse and keyboard support with customizable controls. Controllers will also obviously be supported. The DualSense controller, when connected via USB cable to your PC, will get the added benefit of all those haptic feedback and dynamic trigger effects just like the PS5 version of the game.

Finally, pre-purchases of the game from either Steam or Epic will get you early access to items like the Pixelizer Weapon and the Carbononx Armor Set. The PC version of the game, regardless of pre-purchase status, will get the five bonus armors of the Digital Deluxe Edition and the 20th Anniversary Armor Pack that includes another five armors inspired by previous games in the Ratchet & Clank franchise.

Nixxes says that they will share more details about the PC features of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart in the weeks ahead. With Nixxes handling the PC port and it being a port of an Insomniac Games title, I expect this one to run rather well out of the gate. Nixxes also handled the PC ports for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which ran quite nicely at launch on PC. They also ported over Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition in 2021, which had some issues at launch. It was also one of the earlier PlayStation titles to be ported to PC, so hopefully those mistakes won't be repeated.
