  • Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Delayed Until 2024

Delays are frustrating, but they're often for the best.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has officially been delayed out of 2022 2023 and into a Spring 2023 February 2, 2024 release window. This confirms a few previous rumors that suggested that game was about to be hit with an official delay.

Sefton Hill, creative director on the game, sent out a A tweet was sent this morning that confirmed the delay. He notes that "a delay is frustrating but that time is going into making the best game we can." Hill's full statement can be seen in the embedded tweet below. It notes that "we have made the tough but necessary decision to take the time needed to work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players." The full statement can be seen in the embedded tweet below.

This delay will place the game's release at roughly eight years since Rocksteady's last major game release. That game was Batman: Arkham Knight. There was another game released by the studio after Arkham Knight, Batman: Arkham VR, but that was a much smaller and vastly scaled back project in comparison to a normal game.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was first announced back in August 2020. The game is still set to be a big open world co-op title where up to four players will get to play as Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang. These four will be taking on evil versions of superheroes such as Superman.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was originally slated for a 2022 release.

If this all seems oddly familiar, there's a good reason for that.

I'm experiencing deja vu right now, and I can't quite figure out why........ /s

Anyway, I assume this is Rocksteady's first attempt at a live service game so they probably need more time on the battle pass, as well as ensure microtransactions work smoothly. The base game is probably ready to be declared gold already.

Maybe the other games will make up for it.

The January 2025 PlayStation Plus monthly games were announced by Sony. These are the games that will be offered to all PlayStation Plus subscribers starting January 7th.

Sony seems to believe that the highlight out of this month's bunch is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. I think most people would probably disagree with that assessment though. The other major titles being offered this month include Need for Speed Hot...
