If you already finished with God of War: Ragnarök, then today's update gives you a good reason to return to the game. Today's new update introduces a New Game+ option that will let you start a new game using the equipment, weapons, and skills you earned in your first time through. Plenty of details on this newest update were shared to the PlayStation Blog.

Today's update doesn't just simply add in New Game+ and call it a day. This update also adds in new armor sets, new Enchantments, and an increased level cap. Some of the new armor includes the Armor of the Black Bear that Kratos previously only wore in the opening scene. Another armor found in New Game+ is the Spartan Armor, Ares Armor, Zeus Armor, and the Spartan Apsis shield.

The increased level cap now means you can take your level 9 gear into a "Plus" version to make them even more powerful. Converting your equipment will give you Gilded Coins, which can be used to purchase Engraving and Badge Enchantments. Other new Enchantments added include the Berserker Soul Drops (boosts stats) and Burdens (negative perks for a greater challenge).

The Arena in Niflheim also has some new and expanded content in this update. You can now choose any companion character to fight besides you including Freya, Thor, Ingrid, Brok, Angrboda, and Thrúd. You can also play the Arena as either Kratos or Atreus. One other new addition is the addition of a Black and White render mode.

For those that tackled everything already, you may want to revisit some of the optional boss fights found in the game. A couple of them have been given additional moves and abilities when facing off against them in New Game+. In addition, those playing on Give Me No Mercy or Give Me God of War difficulties will find that all bosses and mini-bosses now have Runic Armor.
