Bloober Team released the first gameplay video for their upcoming horror title, Layers of Fear. This reveal clocks in at a bit over 11 minutes and shows some of the new gameplay mechanics present in this release. It also shows off how this Unreal Engine 5 brings some graphical improvements compared to the original releases of the series.
Some of these graphical improvements include the addition of ray tracing, HDR, and support for 4K resolution. Part of these enhancements come courtesy of the Lumen system included in Unreal Engine 5, which produces high quality lighting and illumination.
Layers of Fear is expected to be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC this June.
Layers of Fear (2023) presents a unified vision of horror reimagined, and will be the ultimate experience for both returning fans and newcomers to the franchise.
