Get ready to slay some vampires in early May.

Arkane Austin says that their open-world vampire slaying co-op romp, Redfall, will be released on May 2, 2023. Redfall is a console exclusive on Xbox Series X|S, but will also be released on PC and Game Pass on the same date.

The announcement came alongside over ten minutes of new gameplay footage, which you should be able to see below. The gameplay footage shows off just a little bit of what players will get to experience throughout the island of Redfall. You will be able to take on a variety of missions in an effort to take out vampires, vampire underbosses, gathering intel on various mysteries, and then eventually take on the big vampire gods.

Redfall can be played alone or with up to three additional friends. Just like in most every other Arkane game, you will be able to choose how you tackle various objectives and encounters. Players will also get to play as different characters, each having their own upgradeable skills, gear, and abilities. There are also a bunch of different weapons that can be found around Redfall, which can also be customized.

Arkane does plan to release additional content for the game after release. There is a "Bite Back Edition" that will grant players access to the Hero Pass that includes two future heroes, the Throwback Outfit Pack with a unique outfit and backpack for each of the four base heroes, a Laser Beam multi-weapon skin, and the Tactical Knife Stake weapon attachment. All pre-orders will get the Vampire Hunter Pack. This includes the Grim Tide Shotgun, which grants 20% increased damage for eight seconds after killing an enemy. The pack also includes a Polar Vortex multi-weapon skin and a Blood Ravager Stake weapon attachment.
