If you own Biomutant already and have a next-gen console, you may be happy to hear that a next-gen update is coming on September 6 for the open-world adventure game. On the 6th, those who already own Biomutant on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will get free upgrades to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions.

If you do not yet own the game and you want to (we won't judge), you will be able to buy this next-gen release on September 6 for $39.99 (USD).

This updated release will include "ultra-fast loading times, native 4K resolution, HDR support, and up to 60FPS." While this is all rather vague, there was a rather comprehensive list of technical details broken down by platform provided in today's press release. You can find that breakdown of the technical differences between each next-gen platform below.

There are also different gameplay trailers for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. I'll only include the one for PlayStation 5 below. If you'd like, you can find the other two on the THQ Nordic YouTube channel.
