Bungie has been very cagey about releasing any information regarding Season 17 for Destiny 2. This silence is very unlike the studio, as they commonly have massive information drops days if not weeks ahead of a new Season. In fact, the plan was to not even release the Season 17 trailer until mere hours before the Season begins on Tuesday, May 24.
Leave it up to forces outside of their control to ruin some big surprises for players. PlayStation Japan accidentally released the trailer late in the evening on May 23. At that point, the floodgates were open, and Bungie just went ahead and released the English version of the trailer ahead of schedule.
We now know for sure that Season 17 is called Season of the Haunted. Beyond that, I'll leave it up to you to decide if you would like to watch the new trailer, which I have embedded below.
I haven't personally watched it yet as I like being surprised at new content for Destiny 2.
