As it is now March 25, that can mean one of a few things: First off, it's the weekend. Yay! Secondly, today marks the release date for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands from Gearbox Software and publisher 2K. Also, yay!
The new fantasy looter-shooter brings a lot of knights, spells, swords, and guns to the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via the Epic Games Store. You take on the role of the Fatemaker as you battle through a "tabletop realm where rules rarely apply."
As the Fatemaker, you will get to utilize spells, abilities, and all sorts of weapons as you battle your way through monsters, tackle dungeons, and try to stop the evil Dragon Lord, voiced by Will Arnett. You are joined on your journey by Frette (voiced by Wanda Sykes) and Captain Valentine (voiced by Andy Samberg). These adventurers are all led by the chaotic dungeon master herself, Tiny Tina (voiced by Ashly Burch).
Before we get to the features, I will note here that TGN will have a review for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands at some point in the near future. The key was only sent to us yesterday, so it might be a little while before that review goes live. However, initial reviews seem rather positive. I can also already tell from the brief time I've had with the game that the writing is thankfully a lot better than Borderlands 3. If you liked the Borderlands games and want more Borderlands, you'll probably like this one too.
