New screenshots were shared by Guerrilla.

Guerrilla Games just showed off some additional screenshots for Horizon Forbidden West. Unlike the previous media released for the game that showed off the game running on PlayStation 5 hardware, these new shots are all from the PlayStation 4. Wouldn't you know it, the game still looks pretty darn good.

The screenshots were shared through Twitter. Guerrilla says that they've "showed you a lot of footage of Horizon Forbidden West on PS5 so far, but the game also looks - and plays - stunning on the PlayStation 4." This probably won't come as a surprise to many who have seen anything about the development of this game. Horizon Forbidden West was designed with the PlayStation 4 hardware in mind.

Earlier this year, game director Mathijs de Jonge says that "a lot of the development has taken place on the PlayStation 4, and a lot of playtesting has been done on PlayStation 4." He continues on to say that they "are ensuring that owners of that console have a great experience and the game will look fantastic on that console."

Horizon Forbidden West is slated to be released on February 18, 2022 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Those who don't yet have a PlayStation 5 will be able to upgrade from the PS4 version to the PS5 version for free.
