A couple of days ago, someone somewhere listed two PlayStation 5 development kits on eBay. The listings allegedly lasted a few hours before eBay pulled the listings from view.

Twitter user @iDCx1337 spotted two models listed on the online marketplace on August 3, 2021. The dev kits were had the model numbers of DFI-T1000AA and DFI-D1000AA. The T variant is a dev kit that more closely resembles the consumer model of the PlayStation 5. The more interesting one, the D model, is some hulking behemoth dev kit that has a deep V cutout in the middle of it.

Another screenshot of the listing, provided by @iDCx1337, showed that the D1000AA model had 12 bids that saw the price hit around $3,376 (USD) before being pulled. The listings had well over 9 days remaining before the auctions were set to end. It is not clear who exactly called for the listings to be removed from eBay, but I think it's probably safe to say that Sony had a hand in it.
