SNK is working on a new entry in the Metal Slug franchise, only this one is a little different. Instead of being a run and gun shooter like you are used to, this new title will instead be a tactical RPG game with roguelike elements.
Metal Slug Tactics takes the franchise and puts it on its head. Though no release date has been set yet, the newly revealed trailer should give you a good idea of what the game is all about. This game is being developed by Leikir Studio. It still features familiar sprite style art that should be familiar to fans.
Players will move about a grid-based battlefield, shooting and blasting away at foes that will do the same in return. Super attacks can be unleashed once you build up your adrenaline bar during a battle. Experience gained after fights allows you to unlock weapons and other perks.
