Happy E3 is back?
4Yes! - I love it!25.00%1No! - I hate it!25.00%1Eh - I don't care either way.50.00%2E3 is back starting June 12. Are you happy that the event is back, even if it's online only?-
#1K-16 commented06-14-2021, 07:49 AMEditing a commentI'm the one who voted yes, but what I wanted to vote for was "I'm cautiously optimistic since this doesn't involve stupid directions like influencers hosting events, but at the same time, ESA has their asses handed over by Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards a long time ago (since TGA is so heavily sponsored it stopped being about awards and is E3 2.0 in disguise." E3 has already gone rabid and needs to be Old Yellered. Gamescom, Tokyo Game Show, PAX, GDC to an extent (since we're not developers), and The Game Awards are enough. I did want something during the period of time E3 would take place, and a digital only event is what I prefer as it's compatible with people's desires to run cheaper online "Direct" events inspired by Nintendo's solution to saving money, yet having a stronger marketing impact. So yes, I'm somewhat content that E3 is still here, but no I don't care for E3 next year when it goes back to really bad ideas.

At first it was just a minor annoyance when I would run into issues like poor A.I., but it became harder and harder to ig...-

by Shawn ZipayThe VGAs are no more. They are dead and buried and nobody is terribly upset. New to 2014 is the totally not the same show but under a different name, The Game Awards! The difference here is that this is born from a unique joining of forces from the top industry figures. The Game Awards will be streamed live digitally and through all sorts of media formats. Some of the key players for The Game Awards being born are EA, Kojima Productions, Rockstar Games, Sony, Ubisoft, Valve, Warn...
