Gran Turismo 7 has been delayed until at least 2022. Sony announced that the latest entry in their popular racing sim franchise is now planned for 2022 due to ongoing issues with developing during the pandemic.

A Sony spokesperson shared this bit of information with the world during a recent British GQ interview with Sony's Jim Ryan.

So one game you didn’t mention there that had been dated for 2021 is Gran Turismo 7. What’s going on with that one?

“GT7 has been impacted by Covid-related production challenges and therefore will shift from 2021 to 2022. With the ongoing pandemic, it’s a dynamic and changing situation and some critical aspects of game production have been slowed over the past several months. We’ll share more specifics on GT7’s release date when available.”
Sony had announced Gran Turismo 7 during a big PlayStation 5 showcase event in June 2020.

It's probably also very telling that neither Jim Ryan nor the Sony representative talked up the next God of War for 2021 either. It's probably a safe assumption right now that the next God of War or God of War Ragnarok or whatever it's called has been delayed until at least 2022 as well.
