Though a few Cyberpunk 2077 mods have already popped up since its December release, these were done prior to there being any sort of official mod support for the game. Today, CD Projekt Red finally rolled out the start of their official mod support, which will hopefully allow modders to fix the game in ways that CD Projekt will not.

These official modding tools are in their infancy and seem rather limited in their scope. They are certainly not as in depth as the ones released for The Witcher 3, but it's a good start. CD Projekt Red says that the tools "will be continuously updated alongside with game patches to ensure compatibility."

Perhaps the first mod released via these new tools will be to address a game breaking bug that was introduced in Patch 1.1. This bug makes it so that you are unable to make progress in the game past a certain point. Lovely.
