Another game is hit with a delay in 2021.
Did you know that Gollum was getting his own video game? It's true! The weird little creature that lusts for the One Ring was set to star in his own game, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. I mean, he still is slated to have his own game, only problem is he'll have to wait a whole extra year for it to come to fruition.
Developer Daedalic says that the gameplay in Gollum will be stealth-focused with an emphasis on climbing and some platforming. Unfortunately, we won't be able to verify these claims until at least 2022. Nacon, the game's publisher, along with Daedalic have decided to push back the game from its originally planned release of later this year. This extra time in the oven will allow the devs to "fully leverage the power of the new generation of consoles."
Though the release is longer out than first expected, you can still add The Lord of the Rings: Gollum to your Steam Wishlist.

by Shawn ZipayThere's a lot to cover so let's get to it.
Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred is ready to release on April 28, 2026. Ahead of that date, Blizzard had a lot to share for this expansion including the debut of the game's opening cinematic, a new developer deep dive stream, the availability of the pre-download, a new original song by KoRn for this expansion, and a partnership with a guitar company. In addition, I'll also share a review roundup for Lord of Hatred.
First up, Blizzard...-

by Shawn ZipayGollum manages to be worse than a game with Vanilla Ice.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was released today and I'm willing to bet that this won't be the last time you hear about this game. No, I suspect that you'll hear a bit more about this game when it comes time for some outlets to talk about the worst games released in 2023.
Thus far, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is sitting at just a 43% critic average on OpenCritic with only 5% of all critics actually recommending...-

by Shawn ZipayIt has been pushed back for polishing.
Daedalic Entertainment and Nacon announce that they need more time to work on The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. All they said was that the game has been delayed by "a few months" in order to give the game some more polish. This marks at least the second time that the game has been delayed.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was announced back in March 2019. At that time, it was planned for release in 2021. Following an agreement...-

by Shawn ZipayRoughly 25 employees have been laid off as a result.
Daedalic Entertainment has shut down its internal game development at the Hamburg-based studio and has laid off 25 employees. Daedalic will now focus purely on publishing third-party titles for the foreseeable future. As it stands, Daedalic currently has eight titles it will publish over the next fiscal year.
Daedalic Entertainment was best known for developing a variety of point-and-click adventure titles before developing...-
