Yellow Brick Games is a brand spanking new game studio located in Quebec City, Canada. This new studio is being led by industry veterans Mike Laidlaw, Thomas Giroux, Jeff Skalski, and Frederic St-Laurent B.

Yellow Brick Games will be operating as an independent studio with an aim at creating original games. The four veterans come from various backgrounds such as Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, and BioWare. Some of the franchises they worked on in the past include Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Watch Dogs, and Assassin's Creed.

Giroux will serve as the CEO of the company. He previously worked at Ubisoft and Sunny Side Up Creative.

“We have learned a lot from working on world-class, multi-year projects with thousands of colleagues, and we want to take a different approach,” COO and executive producer Skalski said in a statement. “Leveraging a smaller talented team where people come first, we will create amazing worlds and experiences for all others to enjoy. The market is moving fast, and we have no desire to play catchup and chase it when we can influence where it goes. These goals drove us to found Yellow Brick Games.”
Laidlaw was the creator of the famed Dragon Age franchise. St-Laurent B was, like Giroux, a former employee at Ubisoft. Sarbakan will serve as Yellow Brick Games' game director on their first project.

As of right now, there are 15 employees at Yellow BBrick Games working on their first title. They expect to grow their team in the coming months and years.
