in NewsDragon's Dogma 2 Update Adds New Game Option, May Improve Performance
Some users have reported better performance after today's patch.
The promised first update for Dragon's Dogma 2 from Capcom came out on March 29th. With it, the developers finally added a way for players to begin a new game without manually deleting files from their system.
As we already had information about this update from Capcom days before it was released, there aren't too many surprises here. Today's update does indeed add in that new game option when save data... -

in NewsYou Can Use Trebuchets in Dragon's Dogma 2
Learning something new after 25 hours.
I am just shy of 25 hours of play time in Dragon's Dogma 2 (let's ignore the time spent trying to adjust all sorts of graphical options to make the game not run like garbage), and I am only now finding out about a new gameplay mechanic. Were you aware that you can use the various trebuchets you come across in Dragon's Dogma 2?
Sure, the usable ballista were probably rather obvious, especially given how you can see one used right... -

in NewsCapcom is Adding a New Game Option for Dragon's Dogma 2
Framerate improvements won't be a part of this update.
Capcom says in the "near future" they will release an update for Dragon's Dogma 2 that adds in the ability to start a new game if save data already exists. To those not keeping up on the goings-on for Dragon's Dogma 2, the game released with the inability to easily start a new game if you already created a save. Dragon's Dogma 2 only allows for one save slot and that is it.
The planned update from Capcom... -

in NewsCapcom Issues Statement to Dragon's Dogma 2 PC Players
The latest from Capcom is being demolished by fans for a myriad of issues.
Dragon's Dogma 2 released last night (or today, depending on time zones) on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Though receiving generally favorable reviews, the latest title from Capcom has not launched without several issues on all platforms. The console versions of Dragon's Dogma 2 struggle to maintain a locked 30 FPS, but that 30 FPS target was at least known about ahead of the game's release.

in NewsCritical Consensus: Dragon's Dogma 2
An improvement over the original but with some severe performance woes.
Dragon's Dogma 2 is expected to be released on March 22 but the reviews have already started to pour in. The reviews have been extremely favorable for Dragon's Dogma 2 so far, with most outlets saying that this sequel improves upon the original. However, some of the flaws of the first game are not addressed in this sequel and the performance across all platforms, especially on PC, leaves a lot to be desired.... -

in NewsDragon's Dogma 2 Character Creator is Live
Create your character now so you can jump straight into the action at release.
I'm sure we've all been in a situation where a new RPG comes out and you spend the first couple of hours just creating and fine-tuning your character before actually starting the game. Thankfully, with Dragon's Dogma 2 that won't be an issue because Capcom just released the Dragon's Dogma 2 "Character Creator & Storage" tool.
This separate download is available right now for... -

New gameplay from the latest State of Play.
A new gameplay trailer for Dragon's Dogma 2 shares a look at the Warfarer Vocation, a special class type that only the Arisen can spec into.
This new trailer also shows off some of the new threats you and your loyal Pawns will be going up against. We also get a look at Vocation Maisters (Capcom's spelling, not mine), those who grant the Arisen access to skills "of the highest order." We also get a look at some Dragon's... -

in NewsCapcom Showcase Recap - Dragon's Dogma 2, Exoprimal, Pragmata
The Capcom showcase was... interesting.
Yesterday, Capcom held their Capcom Showcase. Running at a bit over half an hour, the show included quick hits of news for a few existing and upcoming titles. It even included an indefinitely delay announcement for Pragmata, a game that was first announced in 2020 and has been delayed several times already. As with these other recap posts, I'll be sure to put up separate news posts about some of these titles if there is something worth posting. Fo... -

Ahoy, thar be trailers in here.
The PlayStation Showcase for May 24, 2023 just ended. There were a bunch of trailers shown during the event. Here are most of them save for the ones I miss or forgot about. Yes, this is a Newsbits in all but name, the title was already long enough. The trailers aren't in any order besides the order in which I look at the numerous emails I just received. I've tried to include all release dates and known platforms. There are some that I have only seen ... -
