    Review: GreedFall (PC)

    A long and thrilling journey.

GreedFall is a game that filled a gaping void I did not know I had for a new action-RPG experience. Though it lacks some of the polish you would expect from a major game release these days, the game still rewards the player with fun and varied combat, complex story beats, and an overall experience that should make even the veterans at BioWare sit up and take notice. For those of you that have been on the fence about picking up GreedFall, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not go pick it up right now.

BioWare Announces Dragon Age: The Dread Wolf Rises

If you got shivers reading that headline, you are in good company. Last night during The Game Awards, Anthem wasn't the only game that BioWare wanted to show off. The first glimpse at a new Dragon Age title was also shown off.

All that we really gather is that it will be called Dragon Age: The Dread Wolf Rises. Or maybe that's not the title and it's just a teaser sentence for the sake of the trailer. Who cares, it's new Dragon Age info!

It's the most teaser filled of teaser trailers, but it's all we've got... for now. BioWare executive...

BioWare Re-Confirms New Dragon Age but Delays Anthem

BioWare says that they are still working on a new Dragon Age game. I'm sure many fans have been a bit afraid about the fate of the franchise ever since the tepid response to Mass Effect: Andromeda. Don't get me wrong, Mass Effect: Andromeda sold quite well according to EA themselves. It just happened to be panned by both critics and consumers alike, mainly due to its multitude of bugs, somewhat boring story, and poor mission design.

Today's confirmation of more Dragon Age came from Mark Darrah, the Dragon Age executive producer.

Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, and Dragon Age DLC Finally Appear on Origin

For the first time in literally years, the DLC for Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age II, and Dragon Age: Origins have appeared for sale on Origin. To be more specific, the DLC is available for sale in bundles for each game. Hey, it's still a step up from being only able to buy the DLC through BioWare using their BioWare Points. Who thought that was a smart thing to keep doing when Origin has been around for years? How did it literally take years for this to happen?! And why can you still not buy the DLC items separately?! UGH!

    The Mass Effect...

Dragon Age Director Mike Laidlaw Leaves BioWare

Mike Laidlaw, the Creative Director for the Dragon Age series, announced today that he is leaving BioWare. Laidlaw has spent 14 years with the company, offering his talents to games and franchises that include Jade Empire and, of course, Dragon Age.

As for the next Dragon Age game? Well, things aren't looking too great. The last official word was that the game was in some very early stages of development. With Laidlaw parting ways, the future of the franchise comes into question. It also doesn't help matters that a number of Dragon Age related...

The Death of the Message Board

We live in interesting time. Right now, we are in the midst of a transition from traditional media to the rise of YouTube "personalities," Twitch streamers, and everybody attempting to make a name for themselves in what is quickly becoming a saturated market. As a result, we have started to see the public, publishers, and developers giving preferential treatment to these new media formats instead of traditional media. This shift naturally means a shift in other areas as well. More and more publishers and developers announce their latest and greatest news on social media...

First Details and Trailer for Dragon Age: Inquisition - Trespasser Story DLC

EA and BioWare have announced new details on Trespasser, the final piece of DLC coming to Dragon Age: Inquisition. This is apparently the studio's first attempt at an "epilogue" style content release that will "mark the end of our time with the Inquisition." Right now, a release date has not yet been set for this DLC.
Our final announcement today was of Trespasser, the final DLC for Inquisition. It's something we haven't tried before: an epilogue. Trespasser tells an entirely new story, set two years after the main game. The story explores what it's like

PSA: Download Dragon Age: Inquisition Multiplayer for Free

EA and BioWare just made the multiplayer component of Dragon Age: Inquisition free to everyone, but only if you add it to your Origin account by July 21. This means that you can add the multiplayer to your account before the 21st and continue to play it for free forever. If you don't add it to your account by that date, too bad.

In addition to this, they are also offering a six hour trial for the game's single player. To kick off these offers, simply head on over to Origin and add the game to your cart. Check out and voila, you instantly get...
