70 million. That is the number of copies that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has sold across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC at present. This figure comes courtesy of the game's developers at the PUBG Corporation.

PUBG as it is more commonly called, was released back in March 2017 as an Early Access release on PC via Steam. A full launch came later in the year on December 20, 2017.

Previously, PUBG Corporation revealed that sales of the game surpassed 50 million copies sold. This figure was provided in June of 2018. At the time, it was only available for the Xbox One and PC. The PlayStation 4 launch did not happen until December of 2018. That means in the past two years alone the game has sold an additional 20 million copies across all platforms, undoubtedly bolstered by the launch of the PS4 version in the interim.

The game is still being actively updated. In fact, the 8.1 update was just detailed earlier today. Included in 8.1 will be a revamped Sanhok map. This map has been "reworked from the ground up to look better, perform better, and offer more balanced gameplay." Changes include the overall of key landmarks like the Bootcamp, Quarry, Ruins, and many more. Full details on these changes, which go live on July 22, can be found here. One of the areas, Ruins, that has been updated can be seen at the top of this posting.
