PlayerUnknown, also know as Brendan Greene, has parted ways with PUBG parent company Krafton and is venturing forth on his own. Greene's PlayerUnknown Productions is an independent studio based in Amsterdam. They are not quite totally free of Krafton though as that studio will still hold a minority stake in Greene's new venture.

Developer Iron Gate is more than tickled pink to share news about their huge sales milestones for Valheim. This open world survival title has already surpassed two million copies sold in just 13 days. Not only that, but the team shares word that they hit another major milestone with a peak concurrent player count hitting above 360,000. Actually, in looking at the Steam player stats page, Valheim surpassed 392,000 concurrent players today....

Finally, systems are powerful enough for 60fps.

The PUBG Console Team just revealed some of their next-gen upgrade plans for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (or PUBG for short). Thanks to the increased power of the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5, PUBG will now run "up to" a lovely 60fps, which has been a long time coming for home consoles.

This also means that PUBG will be playable on the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 from day one of each console's release....

PUBG as it is more commonly called, was released back in March 2017 as an Early Access release on PC via Steam. A full launch came later in the year on December 20, 2017.

PUBG Corp announced today that Update 4.3 for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has added cross-platform functionality. This update, currently live on consoles, allows PlayStation and Xbox players to battle it out together.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is a battle royale game that came out in 2017 as an Early Access title. In all this time, nobody once seriously questioned why 100 people were jumping out of an airplane to murder each other in remote locations. Apparently, somebody at PUBG Corp. finally raised that question because the game is getting a backstory for its upcoming fourth season.
