Multiple platforms, one battlefield.
Chivalry 2

Chivalry II (or Chivalry 2 as it's sometimes shown) was shown off during IGN's Summer of Gaming showcase on June 10th. During the new trailer reveal, it was also revealed that the game would feature full cross-play between all consoles and PC (via Epic Games Store) when the game is released. This means that Xbox players will be playing against PlayStation players with some PC players tossed into the mix. On top of that, Chivalry II will be released on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but Torn Banner Studios and Tripwire Interactive have very little to say on those versions at the moment.

All they're really saying is that "knights of all platforms will be able to face off together on the same battlefield, as Chivalry 2 will feature full Cross-Play capability between all consoles and PC." To me, that sounds like you could theoretically have games where PlayStation 5 players are playing with and against PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 4 players. Now that's kind of wild to think about.

Chivalry II takes most of what you liked from the first game and adds on to it while also cranking some things up to 11. It is a multiplayer FPS (the S stands for "slasher") inspired by medieval movie battles. Swords will clash, arrows will rain down, and castles will be sieged. Various battlefield weapons will be utilized such as catapults and ballistas. There is no mention of trebuchets in this press release. Our condolences to those fans.

There will be various objectives that teams must complete in at least one of the game modes, Team Objective. You will have to set fire to villages and fields. You may need to escort a siege weapon to the front gates of a castle. You may even need to eliminate some peasants as an objective. All the while you will be doing battle with and against other players.
