Atari's latest RPG is one that is based off of a game franchise that you would think doesn't lend itself very well to becoming an RPG. That is unless of course you read our first post about this game back when it was initially announced. Today marks the release of PONG Quest, a new RPG where you assume the role of a paddle and make your way through dungeons.
Atari says that there is a Quest mode that allows players to experience a "single-player Pongian tale of adventure." Oh man. There's also a variety of multiplayer modes that can be played online or offline. These modes will allow you and some friends to "pong-it-out" in game modes that are a mix of old modes and remixed modes. These news posts just write themselves at times. That's probably because I literally cannot come with anything more ridiculous than what was provided initially in the press releases.
PONG Quest is out now for the PC via Steam. If you own a console, you will have to wait until later this Spring for a release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
