New content arrives starting December 17.

Starting December 17, 2019, content from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be added to Star Wars Battlefront II. This begins with the addition of the Sith trooper, Jet trooper, the Ovissian Gunner, and the Caphex Spy. For those that need a little rolly boy, you can play as BB-8 at some point in January.

You can find out more about Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition here, including a look at the upcoming roadmap of content. It was released on December 5 as its own release, but you can simply upgrade to it for cheap if you owned the previous, non-Celebration Edition, release of Battlefront II.
