Get ready for a new spin on battle royale.
Forza Horizon 4 Eliminator

On December 12, the Forza Horizon 4 update you download will have a little something unexpected included in it. For the first time in the history of the franchise, the game will have a new battle royale mode. Playground Games announced this new mode, called Eliminator, during its latest livestream today. Before you ask: Yes, it's free.

Eliminator pits 72 players against one another in a race to the center of an open-air arena as a deadly circles closes in around them. Those that win Eliminator rounds will get some nice car upgrades and faster cars to add to their garage.

The reveal trailer, seen below, shows off a bit of how this mode works. Players will be able to choose their starting cars and starting areas. They will be able to progress through nine tiers of vehicles as they move across the map and clear checkpoints. There will be some set locations for these checkpoints, but players are free to drive wherever they want to in order to get there.

For those that like to intentionally bump other players off the road in normal races, your time to shine is very nearly here.
