Valve dishes the details on October 2019's best new releases.
Disco Elysium

For the past few months now, Valve has provided information on what the best new Steam releases were for each month. This month, they took things a step further by actually pushing out a press release. I'm guessing they want to make sure that those in the world of gaming that don't pay attention to the "announcement" feature within Steam get some eyes on these new PC releases.

So, what were the biggest and best new releases for October 2019 on Steam? Well, it's hard to say. Valve orders the list in terms of when the games were released throughout the month. By default, that means that Destiny 2 is the first game on the list. I'd say it's also a fair bet that Destiny 2 was also the month's biggest release on Steam. It has consistently shown up in the top 5 games games by player count since its release. It probably helps that Destiny 2 also has a free release available courtesy of First Light.

Other notable releases last month include the co-op puzzle solving adventure We Were Here Together. Also of note is Disco Elysium, which is sitting at "overwhelmingly positive" reviews after over a month since its release. If you are looking more for a social multiplayer experience, Secret Neighbor was released after a few rounds of beta testing.

These are just a few of the games released in October. Be sure to check out the full list for yourself by heading on over to the Steam Community.
