PUBG Mobile x Resident Evil 2

In a world where Tetris 99 exists, nothing in the world of battle royale surprises me anymore. Case in point: Today, En Mass Entertainment announced that there is a crossover event between TERA, an action oriented MMORPG, and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, the popular battle royale game not called Fortnite or Apex Legends.

This collab will run for an entire month beginning on March 5 for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This event will find Tera players "dropping-in and engaging PUBG-style BAMs." I don't know what a "BAM" is.

Additionally, TERA x PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS will bring the chance to earn and unlock exclusive themed cosmetics and pets, and En Masse Entertainment will be running daily login bonuses for the duration of the limited-time crossover.

With decorative jeeps and planes littering the landscape around Highwatch, TERA players will need to keep their eyes peeled for PUBG-themed consumables and air drops. The collaboration will have TERA players traversing the map, navigating dungeons, searching for vehicles, zeroing-in on BAMs, and flexing their skills to bring home the chicken dinner.

The other crossover event finds Resident Evil 2 content being added to PUBG Mobile. What? Yes, you read that correctly.

There is a new gameplay mode for PUBG Mobile called "Zombies: Survive Till Dawn" that is available right now.

This collaboration results in 30 minute rounds. Staples of the Resident Evil franchise like the Licker, Birkin G1, and Mr. X, to name a few, go up against the police who are trying to survive until dusk falls. Additional zombies, those created by the PUBG team, are also included.

As the game progresses, the undead will become even more aggressive and dangerous. Players will be able to take on zombies at long range during the day, but dusk leads to reduced visibility plus the zombies become enraged. As noted, both the Tyrant (G1) and Mr. X will appear at random times during the night segments.

“We’re thrilled to launch Survive till Dawn, a new gameplay mode that offers the very best of our two game platforms,” said Vincent Wang, General Manager of Global Publishing Center at Tencent. “The ‘Resident Evil’ series is iconic among gamers and we anticipate incredible support for this gameplay that pushes players to survive a night of terror.”
Players will be able to earn special Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield skin sets. There are also costumes for Ada Wong and Marvin Branaugh. Those looking to participate in the event need to be level 10 or higher in PUBG Mobile.

PUBG Mobile is a free-to-play title available now on iOS and Android devices.
