Robert Kirkman
Skybound, the company that is owned by Robert Kirkman, will take over the responsibility for completing the final episodes of Telltale's The Walking Dead: The Final Season. According to a statement from Skybound, the company has "taken ownership of Telltale's The Walking Dead: The Final Season and will finish the season."

In addition, the company continues on to say that they will "work with members of the original Telltale team to finish the story in a way the fans deserve. Skybound will continue to update fans on the status of the game on Skybound.com, Twitter, and Facebook." The announcement was also made via Twitter about a half hour ago under the Skybound Games account.

In case you don't know who Robert Kirkman is but are a fan of The Walking Dead, I first need to say SHAME! SHAME ON YOU! Secondly, I'll let you know that Kirkman is the writer that created The Walking Dead. He made the comics that the games and the shows are based off of. Skybound Games is a division of Skybound that has published physical copies of fan favorites Slime Rancher and The Long Dark. It is unclear just who all will work on finishing The Final Season. All that was said is that Skybound will work with members of the original Telltale team to finish the story. How many? Will they be let go again afterwords? It's not clear just yet.

This small ray of light comes after last month's unfortunate news that Telltale Games laid off most of its employees. It also comes just a couple of days after a portion of the remaining handful of Telltale employees were also let go. While it's nice to hear something positive come from all of this, there are still a huge number of people that are still without a job from the layoffs.
