The Walking Dead: The Final Season Episode 3 'Broken Toys' Out Now

The third episode for The Walking Dead: The Final Season is now available to download and play via the Epic Games Store (affiliate link, non-affiliate link), the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This is, of course, all made possible by the efforts and funding from Skybound Games and Epic Games.

The fourth episode for The Walking Dead: The FInal Season will be released on March 26, 2019.

I think we already put up the launch trailer about a week ago, but it probably doesn't hurt to put it up again. And no, I have absolutely no idea if these last two episodes will appear on any other digital distribution platform for the PC. I would sugg...

Former Employee Files Lawsuit Against Telltale for Breaking Labor Laws

The recent and very sudden closure of Telltale left many in the gaming industry saddened. Fans were sad because it their favorite franchises may never be finished or given a sequel. More importantly though, hundreds of employees were let go without advance warning and without severance pay.

This is a big "no-no" when it comes to little things like "laws."

A former employee of Telltale is now suing the company in a class-action lawsuit. Polygon reports that the lawsuit was filed in a federal court in San Francisco on Monday. It was submitted by Vernie Roberts on behalf of himself and the other workers that were laid off this past Friday. The suit says that Telltale did not give "cause" and did not give them "advance written notice as required by the WARN Act."...

Telltale Games Reportedly Laid Off Most Employees Today (Updated)

Reports started to come in that Telltale Games, the development studio behind adventure titles like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, was hit with a huge number of layoffs today.

The studio, which has been actively developing and releasing The Walking Dead: The Final Season, is reportedly down to just 25 employees. In early to mid-2017, over 300 people were said to be employed at the studio. And to those who may be confused, I'm not talking about 25% of the staff remaining. I'm talking about just 25 individuals. The first episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season came out just last month. The second episode is still slated to be released next week. Layoffs pre...

  • Telltale Reportedly Ditching Their Old In-House Game Engine in Favor of Unity

At long last, Telltale Games is going to ditch their own in-house engine that has been used for a bit over 30 games at this point. They will begin to use the Unity engine for all games after The Walking Dead: The Final Season.

This means that the Telltale adventure game based on Stranger Things should be the first game built using Unity. While many may argue that Unity on consoles isn't all that great, they should agree that it's better than continuing to use Telltale's old engine. This is an engine that has resulted in a number of bugs and issues for fans over the past decade of game releases from Telltale. This is all specula...
