Square Enix announced today that the collaboration event between Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter: World will take place on August 7. As you may recall, this event was first teased and shown off way back in the month of June during Square's E3 2018 presentation.
The first bit of cross-over content will see the "King of the Skies" Rathalos from Monster Hunter: world showing up as a battle in Final Fantasy XIV. This crossover will be included as part of the 4.36 update for the popular MMO.
Square Enix says that there will be some special rewards available to those that participate in the collaboration event. The company also teased a bit of what to expect in the 4.4 patch coming further down the line. We also have some screenshots for the Monster Hunter content and the 4.36 update.
