After a quick bit of teasing yesterday, Sega confirmed today that Puyo Puyo Tetris is coming to the PC later this month.The PC release will include scalable resolutions and fully customizable controls. You will even be able to use your mouse to navigate the menus. How wonderful!
Puyo Puyo Tetris sees two puzzle game juggernauts collide as Tetris, one of the top selling video games of all time and one of the most recognized brands in gaming history, and Puyo Puyo from SEGA combine to create a fun-to-play, fast-paced, competitive party game like no other! There are a ton of different styles of gameplay—from the single-player Adventure and Challenge modes to the ferocious competition of the up-to-four-player Arcade modes.
You can even take your puzzle skills online in the Puzzle League or Free Play multiplayer modes with up to four players. Back in the days when Ubisoft were the only ones allowed to put out (terrible versions of) Tetris in the west, i imported this game for 360, which isn't my most convenient console to get to at the moment and may in fact be dying, controller batteries will definitely be dead that's for sure, so i haven't played it much, i ended up playing Ubi's half decent 3DS release more.
Having it on a platform i'm always on is crucial for a small time game like this, i'll boot up a console to play a Yakuza or something, but if i feel like a bit of Tetris it needs to be a click away.
Hopefully it has a Japanese voice option, i hear the English voice acting is abysmal.
