Monster Hunter: World is out today for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The latest in the popular action-RPG genre that finds you hunting these massive beasts takes things up a notch with the ability to partake in online co-op with up to three other friends. Don't get me wrong, you can still solo the content if you want, but the word "World" is in the name for a reason!

Capcom has already promised to support the game with some free post-launch content. This includes the PlayStation 4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn collaboration event. This collaboration will allow players to undergo quests that allow players to earn special materials that can then be forged into unique Horizon themed equipment. Players can become Aloy by earning her bow and armor as well as turning their companion Palico into a machine from Horizon Zero Dawn. These rewards will be split up between two events, one that runs from today until February 8 and another that runs from February 28 through March 5. Capcom says that other events will be coming along with the first major content update scheduled for this Spring. If nothing else, we know that the first content drop will add in the "fan-favorite Deviljho monster" and more.

So far, it seems as though the critics are absolutely loving Monster Hunter World. It's holding on to a 91% on OpenCritic as of this writing. Reviews for the PC version are not yet in, since the PC version is still about two seasons away from release.
