• New Character, Story, and Puzzles Confirmed for Catherine Re-release

A short time ago today, ATLUS confirmed that Catherine: Full Body will be coming to Western markets. This updated release will hit the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita with fresh content like a new character. This means that there will also be new story elements and new puzzle elements to solve!

The original release of Catherine found some critical acclaim when it originally released back in 2011 on the previous console generation. The gameplay is a blend of puzzle platforming and adventure-RPG. The main character, Vincent, starts to have strange nightmares after his girlfriend, Katherine, starts to talk about marriage. Things get a bit more crazy for Vincent after he starts to have an affair with another girl, Catherine. When not having puzzle-platforming nightmares at night, Vincent will spend his days trying to manage his relationships.

Oh, and there's one little thing I forgot to mention. Catherine is a succubus. Like an actual one. It's a weird game, okay?

It's a weird game that is getting a re-release with new content on more modern hardware.
ATLUS today announced that Catherine: Full Body will be coming to the West. This new twist on the original Catherine, a mature romantic action-adventure puzzle game from the makers of the Persona series, will include a new love interest, "Rin," with distinct storyline elements for the character, and additional puzzle content. Vincent's love life has never been so complicated and dramatic!

Vincent's apartment hasn't seen the last of the sensual people in his life. With new storyline elements for both Catherine and Katherine, players will have ample opportunity for new experiences in Catherine: Full Body.

There isn't a new trailer out yet, so here is a video for the original Catherine from six years ago from the ATLUS YouTube channel.

Actually the way they present the story, it's less weird and more normal considering the characters themselves find this incredibly weird. The way it wraps up, people were more or less forced to take this weirdness in stride given the situation. Heck it's about as weird as... Uh... Supernatural? Sure that'll do. I mean, the actual weirdness only happens in nightmares, and it's a phenomenon that's happening around town according to their local news.

Also Troy Baker voices Vincent. Can't go wrong.

Atlus just released a new trailer for Catherine: Full Body today. This trailer, Decisions, gives players a little taste of the game's main story and how your choices do, indeed, matter. In addition, word around town is that there is a free demo for the game available now on the PlayStation Store.

Obviously, the choices you make in the Catherine: Full Body demo may not matter too much. However, when the full game releases in Western markets on September 3,...

Catherine: Full Body Coming to Switch in July
by Shawn Zipay
It's a story of puzzles, sheep, and infidelity.

Starting right now, Nintendo Switch owners can add Catherine: Full Body to their eShop wishlists. Alternatively, they can pre-order the game from select retailers for a special sheep keychain. Whatever is decided upon, it would be wise to get those orders in fairly soon because Catherine: Full Body will be out on the Switch on July 7.

Atlus has passed along a new trailer that should give Switch owners a little sample of what...
