An update for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor allows someone to bring their top Nemesis and Follower from the game into Middle-earth: Shadow of War when it releases on October 10, 2017.
In Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, players created countless personal stories of revenge through the unique enemies and allies generated by the Nemesis System. With the Nemesis Forge, these stories continue in Middle-earth: Shadow of War by importing a returning player’s arch Nemesis from Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, while also identifying a player’s most loyal Orc follower, who can help fight and defend against Sauron’s forces. The Nemesis Forge is now available for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Steam.

Also of note is the fact that there is a free trial for the game on the Xbox One and PC (via Steam). This trial will run just until July 9. If you like what you play, you can keep playing for 80% off of the regular price. This discount also applies to the PS4 release even without the free trial. Sales end on July 10 for PC, July 17 for Xbox, and July 19 for PlayStation.

      A bit beyond "fashionably late."

Aspyr shared word that Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition and Middle-earth: Shadow of War Definitive Edition are now available on Nintendo Switch 2. The two titles can either be purchased separately or as a bundle in the aptly named Middle-earth Shadow Bundle.

If purchasing the Shadow Bundle, you have until October 5 to pay just $34.99. After that date, the price jumps up to $69.99. If purchased separately,...

A largely unremarkable open-world title saved by a few unique gameplay mechanics.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is perhaps the most enjoyable open world title I have played in recent memory, but only if you count the game's second half. The problem is that it takes a while to get to the point where it was a blast to play. The first half of the game is largely unremarkable while the second half makes it feel almost like an entirely new experience. This is main due to late...
