    Rockstar just sent out an email stating that Red Dead Redemption 2 has been delayed until Spring 2018.
    [indent]Red Dead Redemption 2 is now set to launch Spring 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans.

    We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer. In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of new screenshots from the world of Red Dead Redemption 2.

        Huh that's weird. I thought I made a comment in a previous RDR2 news post that I would assume there will be a delay, since the game is going to be huge, so Fall 2017 doesn't seem like a realistic deadline to meet. And yet I see no such comment made by me. Weird. Oh well, either way I'm not disappointed since I never believed in the Fall 2017 date. But I do believe in a 2018 date (whether it's Spring or Winter I don't care), and I do believe that IF the game is at its worst case scenario, then it'll be a decent game that is worthy of a discount. Again, that's worst-case scenario. Best case scenario? We won't even remember that it was delayed because it's GOTY gold right there.

        So all in all, I'm okay with this delay. I know they started a long time ago, but I still don't think Fall 2017 was a deadline they could meet. I'll be eager to check it out in 2018.
