The big, bad rats of Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide will infest the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One beginning October 4. The game, already out on PC, plays a lot like a Warhammer themed version of Left 4 Dead, complete with rats instead of zombies, a number of boss-like special rats, crescendo events, and finale events.The major differences here is the fact that each character has their own weapons and abilities, making them all have distinct play styles. There is also a leveling system, crafting, and a loot reward system at work, something that is quite absent from Left 4 Dead.
Fatshark will self-publish the digital versions of the game while Nordic Games handles the physical releases.
"More than half a million PC gamers have already taken Vermintide to their heart, and this fall it's time for console players to do the same. The consoles will get an extended version that includes all DLCs released for the PC version to date" says Martin Wahlund, CEO at Fatshark. "We are over the moon to be working with Nordic Games on this release as their experience and expertise are incomparable."

The console versions will also include the Last Stand game mode, Sigmar's Blessing content, and the Drachenfels DLC which contains three additional maps beyond the base game. All screenshots in this post are from the PlayStation 4 version of the game.
