Cliff Bleszinski from Boss Key Productions revealed some updated details concerning LawBreakers, their upcoming competitive FPS. Originally, the plan was to release the game as a free-to-play option, facilitated by their publisher, Nexon.Speaking at GDC, Bleszinski announced some major changes to the game starting off with the fact that the game is no longer going to be F2P. On top of that, the game is now also exclusive to the Steam platform and will not have a separate launcher. Last, but not least, the game has also undergone a visual change from its logo down to character designs.
While a price hasn't been revealed, it seems as though Bleszinski is aiming for a point that is less than $60.
"Is there a grey area between free-to-play and 60 dollars?" Bleszinski asked the crowd.
"We did a lot of discussions and even more research. There are some core free-to-play games that do well, but for us, we didn’t want to go down the well of players buying 'energy' or other sleazy things," Bleszinski said. "A lot of core gamers have a negative reaction when they hear free-to-play because they think they’ll get ripped off."

Boss Key COO, Arjan Brussee, and Communication's Manager, Rohan Rivas, also said why they decided to make the game exclusive to Steam.
"I don’t want to make new friends," said Brussee. "We don’t want people to have to jump through hoops and sign up with their emails to play our game," Bleszinksi added. "We want to go where our players are," said Rohan Rivas, the studio's communications manager.
Given its new listing on Steam, the system requirements were also revealed for both minimum and recommended setups.

"Is there a grey area between free-to-play and 60 dollars?", i don't know, but i think it could make a bigger impact between the 30 and 40 dollar area, specifically for a multiplayer only arena shooter.
Difference in weapon design:
Map change:
Characters look better designed, weapons look less like Nerf guns, and apparently the map they compared lost all of its color and honestly looks kind of bland now. Map colors, if they are that bland now, were probably changed to up the contrast between players and environment.
