    From the Magic Monaco press event in Paris comes the first three PROTOTYPE screenshots for Shenmue 3 that were taken from Facebook. I'll reiterate that point about these being from a prototype of the game. That's like pre-alpha stuff here.

        With modern game engines like Unreal 3/4 and Unity, it's much easier to enable some shiny post processing to placeholder textures and have something impressive looking, i kind of feel this way about the MGS on unreal engine trailer we saw recently.
        That Bayonetta prototype might actually show that a fantastic game comes from the gameplay long before the graphics.

          Indeed, I think anyone with enough experience could download some models from the internet and take similar looking screenshots. You can also see by the weird position of the characters that they are very likely not even animated.
          It kind of reminds me of that WARZ game where they would show some obviously posed screenshots (or bullshots) that represented nothing of the game
          but as Zips said, it's a prototype

          A headline very few thought they'd read.

          A launch trailer for Shenmue 3 was released today ahead of its November 19 release date. I'm sure this is a trailer few thought you would actually see, especially with the questionable crowdfunding campaign and Epic exclusive shenanigans that have gone on.

          But if you stuck with the game through all of that and are still somehow looking forward to Shenmue 3, next week is your week. Let's see what PlayStation 4 and Epic Games Store...

          The release date for Shenmue III was announced today as Gamescom 2018 officially kicked off. Deep Silver and YS Net Inc. announced that Shenmue III will release on August 27, 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
