Yesterday, Bungie released an update that included, among other things, a new Sparrow Racing League. Yes, racing was added to the game. It's a lot of fun and people really seem to be enjoying it.

Also included in yesterday's update were a number of new microtransactions. One of which is a $10 SRL Record Book that allows you to keep track of your best race times and overall progress for the next three weeks. Completing the Record Book will get each owner small in-game rewards. Well, it seems as though some people discovered that you don't actually have to purchase the $10 digital book in order to complete it and earn those rewards. All you really need to do is preview the book at the in-game kiosk and mark each section as completed. Players were actually able to earn rewards through this method!

I say "were" because Bungie is now aware of this loophole exploit and are quickly working on fixing it. It may very well be fixed by the time this news is read by anybody. Those who paid the $10 fee for the book are rightfully upset over this exploit.
